Jimi Sorinola is a seasoned investment and strategy professional with nearly 20 years of experience spanning private equity, corporate finance, and operational leadership across Africa and the UK. As a Managing Partner at CedarBridge Crest Limited, Jimi works alongside founders, entrepreneurs, and boards to unlock growth, raise capital, and transform businesses for long-term success.
He has held senior roles at leading institutions, including Senior VP of Investments at UAC of Nigeria Plc and Head of Strategy at CAP Plc, a publicly listed market leader, where he drove business transformation, digital innovation, and strategic market expansion. As a Senior Investment Manager at a top-tier private equity firm, he managed a portfolio of investments exceeding $250 million across industrials, consumer goods, and infrastructure. He also played a pivotal role in building a PE-backed greenfield food processing company from the ground up—nurturing it into a high-growth business with strong operational and financial performance.
In the United Kingdom, Jimi has supported public sector organizations with financial and data analysis on critical infrastructure programs, further deepening his understanding of complex regulatory and stakeholder environments.
Earlier in his career at Citibank, he developed a robust foundation across corporate finance, risk management, and treasury in multiple African markets. He holds an MBA from Lagos Business School and studied Data Science and Machine Learning at Imperial College London, equipping him with the tools to deliver insight-driven strategies in today’s dynamic business environment.
